saw this on twitter not long ago. From the twitter of Kaitani Shinobu, the mangaka of Liar Game.
Quote:
Translation: I went to see the mangaka-san who's made the news for going on a 4 week break. It seems he rested for about a week, but he's already started work again. He's working himself to the bone for his fans. I'm going to learn from him.

I wasn't expecting jack SHIT and I open JUMP directly to SKETCHES FROM ODA AN ENTIRE YEAR BEFORE HIS SERIES WAS EVEN RUNNING IN JUMP!!!!!!!!!
We can gather from his world map that at that time he ALREADY had the location of Mariejoa, Reverse Mountain (and its mechanics) as well as an incredibly detailed description of the route!
INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also interesting to note despite having SO much set up, he didn't have 'Kaizoku ou ni, ore wa naru!' established.

Steven D. Assistants(? I dunno who that interview is with) claim that it was planned for the Strawhats to part at Shabondy, thought that that alone might be lacking in effect, so Oda was like "would it be cool if a bunch of characters showed up?" and then the Supernovas were designed in three hours or so. (I think).

Aohige_AP a écrit :Kawashima: During the W7 arc, after they parted with Merry, I was assigned to One Piece from the chapter where Garp shows up.
That chapter happened to be ranked number 1 in the weekly poll with a massive margin over other manga, and that's when I realized how awesome this series was.
Oonishi: I started from the chapter where Kid, Law, and other Supernova Rookies showed up. But they weren't originally planned.
Watanabe: What!? Really!?
OOnishi: It was already decided that the crew will be separated at SA, but we figured that may not be enough to spice things up.
That's when Mr Oda said "Would it be more interesting if bunch of new characters showed up?"
Then 3 hours after that, he not only finished the designs of all of them, but had the fixed name ("name" is manga term for rough draft) with all of them already drawn in.
I don't think they are assistants, sounds more like editors.
It'll be cleared up when Q-san posts more I guess.

One Piece Projet Grand Countdown #2

I'm off to work anyhow, but there really wasn't that much interesting info.
It's mostly editors talking about how awesome Oda was, or how certain things came to play.
(Like Shanks losing his arm wasn't originally there, the editor gave RD spinoff a no-go, and Oda fixed it up to make things more interesting) etc.

The new title of One Piece manga is "One Piece 最後の海 新世界編", since Chapter 598.
My own translation: One Piece The Last Ocean: The New World
I think "The Last Ocean: The New World" is just the subtitle.

The Last Ocean: The New World".

Uh, it says that's the title of the new series (arc), following the last arc "Sea of Survival: The Super Nova Arc"
Did you seed One Piece change its titles last arc? No.
